  I have been a rac customer for years. I was recently put in the hospital for a serious problem I was bored with nothing to do. I called my rent a center and talked to john the manger and asked him if he had a tablet I could use while laid up in hospital! he said let me see and he said yes! he got off work and on his own time came to the hospital and brought it. it was well past his work hours! he did this on his own time and even stayed and visited for awhile. at my local store they are doing there jobs above and beyond! but to me they aren't just employees they are friends thank you so much john!

  Absolutely amazing! Store manager Deitrich did everything he could to help me with my account! Definitely recommend this store. Workers are friendly and gave costomers interest and happiness at a TOP priority!!!

  Dear, Mark E. Speese, Maureen Short and Joel Mussat In late September 2018. I was given notice and asked to relocate to the Manhattan / Topeka area for a corporate promotion with my employer. With very little notice given I packed up the nesssesaties and figured i would rent furniture upon arrival in order save time, money and headache. On September 28th, 2018 I spoke with a employee named John from the Manhattan kansas store and explained to John my situation. I needed furniture the next day September 29, 2018. John started his delivery schedule was 7-9 days out. I asked John if I could pick it up myself to save time and assurance knowing my family wouldn't be sitting on the floor while I was away. John assured me he had the items in store and available for pick up. All I needed to do was come in, we would go over the lease docs and I would be on my way. So the next day I had my husbands parents drive from Springfield Missouri all the way to Paxico Kansas, pick our family up and take us to Manhattan . Upon arrival I was not greeted, all three emloyees acted like I wasn't even there and after standing at The counter while two Male employees stood in back on their phones blatantly ignoring my existance . One finally asked me what I needed. Told them I spoke with John yesterday and was there to sign my lease and pick up my items. For the next 15 minutes the looked around the office , asked what my name was more than 4 times, and stated they would call John. Finally one of the employees found a paper with someone else's name address and phone number on it . A female employee stepped in and handed me a form to fill out that asked for references , job information. And social security number. I filled it out by handed it back and left to go eat since the employee said nothing was done and it was all electronic. ( odd since I applied online ) Came back to only standing at the front desk for another 20 minutes. She came out and started to answer the Phomes . Over and over again . She stated its would be $134.00 out the door today. So I mentioned someone helping me pack my truck, she acted shocked and asked me what I was talking about. I told her why do you think I am here and came back. Im Here to pick my items up, sign my lease and go. She then called someone to confirm that could be done and said ok I guess you can. Then began to answer the phones for another 10- 15 minutes. I was so disgusted on how I was treated, mislead, and the time and time of others I had wasted due to lack of communication. I told her never mind and I walked out of the store. Later that evening I received emails stating my lease agreements were attached??? I never agreed, signed or even want the items? The documents attached are what I received through email 3 hours after I left the store. I didn't agree, lease or sign any agreements. I will now be contacting the Manhattan police department to file and pursue a forgery court case against rent a center, Chris who is the employee that is noted at the bottom of the lease contract and all other employees who were present at the time. Also will. e requesting the video footage of myself in the store prooving I did not sign any documents agreeing to lease anything. Customer service within a corporation is one of the most important forms of revenue to keep that company alive. This store is a humiliation to the rent a center name.
