Dr. Bussel is a gem of a doctor. I took my 2.5 year old son in for a check up after he had ITP. Dr. Bussel was very kind and made all the time required to take care of my son. Dr. Bussel treated not just my son but also addressed the lengthy list of concerns and questions that we had for him.

The previous 1 star rating is based in some truth, at the least it is sort of true, at worst maybe not the best "bed-side manner" . . . . . . successfully treated for ITP-platlet disorder starting in 1983 . . . Dr. Bussel and Pediatric Hematology, I spent 2 plus years on my treatment in the 1980's . . . 1. Modified my immune system with Gama Globulin and Penicillin 2. Tolerated my family's behavior and criminal conduct on the property 3. Included "Seljuk" pediatric patient in J.A.M.A. and other medical journal articles 4. Continues to accept calls and follow-ups after 30 years 5. Performs lab work in the presence of patient 6. Meets with a demanding 6 year old in his own office when requested to design a suitable treatment plan Dr. Bussel has a different job title these days, but after 5 years of visiting New York Hospital and knowing Bussel's staff, I never received better treatment . . . and only disappointment since moving to Florida 27 years ago.
