Absolutely amazing museum! More than just art, there is a lot of history housed in this gorgeous building. Tickets are $25, and are valid for three days. I took two days to really see most of it in depth, but even then I could have used more time to see all the special exhibits. Many amazing collections are on display. Staff is very helpful to offer information and suggestions for touring around the museum. Definitely a highlight of NYC and worth a day or two to visit.
The MET is the king of all fine art museums. It's absolutely humongous. It has first class time arts from Monet to Picasso, from sculptures to medieval weapons, contemporary art to ancient artifacts. You can literally spend all day here and still not see everything. The Egyptian exhibit is stunning... It's impressive to see actual structures from ancient Egypt reconstructed in a building in NY. There are staff members everywhere if you need some guidance.
This museum is seriously the most beautiful museum I’ve ever been to. There is SO much to see and you could spend hours here. I love that you can leave the museum and come back. We were there for a couple hours and left to grab some lunch and picked up right where we left off. The staff here is so nice and knowledgeable. The museum is clean, modern and gorgeous. I would recommend it to anyone!!
Great place to visit with very interesting history to look and read on. Its also such a big museum it's unbelievable and worth a visit for $25. I didn't rate this place 5 stars because by time I reached the third floor after being there around 3 hours I felt like I done enough reading. It would be good with videos and some tech showing history. Overall you must visit this place because you will be amazed how good this place is and learn a lot of history.
Oasis Bible tours here at the MET, OUTSTANDING. Beautiful museum. Unique opportunity to really engage in, be a part of and understand history. A lot of expense, time and effort has obviously been put into each display. You get to not only see the art but also read about it. Its very busy, people come from all over the world to visit here. Great place for a bus trip or just your family.
