Comments: 1) This is the second 2018 routine inspection. 2) No violations were observed during the Inspection. 3) Menu: Chicken nuggets, carrots, pizza, sandwiches, fruit cups, apples and milk. 4) Lunch temperature are evaluated 3 times, once at the main school and twice at the elementary school. Two temperatures were documented on a temperature log sheet and the third temperature was scheduled to be taken after I left. 5) General discussion with staff about cross-contaminating surfaces with damp wiping clothes that are not properly stored in sanitizer solution of adequate concentration between uses.

Comments: The hot meal served today was tacos with ground beef, shredded mozzarella cheese, shredded lettuce, canned pork and beans with bacon strips, milk and fruit. The "fun lunch" was a muffin, yogurt, cheese stick, choice of fruit or celery and milk. The lunches are prepared at Northerneastern Clinton High school cafeteria and transported to the Rouses Point Elementary school. The lunch items are temped at the high school and labeled with the temperature. When the lunch arrives at the elementary school the temperatures are evaluated upon arrival and between the second or third lunch period. All 3 temperatures are documented on a temperature logged.

Hot lunches, and sandwiches prepared with mayonnaise are made at the NCCS main cafeteria. Only "Fun Lunches" are prepared in house. Fun lunches consist of the peanut butter and deli meat sandwiches, fruit or vegetables and milk. Temperature logs are maintained. Temperatures are taken when the lunches are received at the elementary school, and two additional times during the lunch service.
